Hair Dye Answers

I’ve dyed & highlighted my hair numerous times for about 2 years now. I use a hair flat iron on it 5 days a week. It doesn’t have the softness & manageability like virgin hair!
To sum this up & make it simple, how can I reverse the damage & make it silky damage-free?

Nope – can’t reverse it. Use a drabber or color it again with a different color. Or better yet… go to your nearest salon & get advice from an expert who can help.

I want to dies the underneath part of my hair blond not like a light blond more like a medium blond.
i have medium to light brown hair on top, so should i dye my hair dark brown then go for blond on bottom or should i keep my medium to light brown on top.
to not confuse anyone my questions are:
should i keep my color the same or dye it darker??
and
should i dye the underneath blond??
if you can answer both questions that would be amazing!!
and if u want u can show pictures or ideas…
oh & a third question i came up with:
should i dye part of my bangs blond? if the underneath is blond.

the color not the haircut. it can be the reverse, dark hair on top light on bottom, it doesnt even have to be the same colors just the technique. cuz i really like the way its dyed i’m just scared to go that light on top cuz my hair is pretty dark now, do you think you could do it with the top a little darker? pictures would be great but if you could just leave the name of a celebrity that would be good too. thanks!

Ok, so I kind of wanna highlight my hair, except I wanna do a reverse highlight, almost. My hair is naturally a medium-darkish chestnutty brown. And I want to dye most of my hair a darkest brown, almost black color. And I want my natural hair color to stand out as highlights on my new hair color… does that make sense? So….. I need someone to explain to me how to do this. I am very novice at hying my own hair, I only did it once, & it was a very basic thing.
I want to know how I should go about performing this, & also can I use in foil or do I need some sort of special salon foil? Thanks.

Hi, i am going to two-tone dye my hair this upcoming weekend. I have naturally light goldish blonde hair, never been dyed, & have light blonde highlghts. i have bangs & my hair is curly.. i was thinking of dying the underside my hair a vibrant/vivid red & possibly streaks in my bangs too. do you think that would look cool, or should i just dye my whole head a vibrant red? http://fc02.deviantart.com/fs7/i/2006/00…
like that, except i have blond hair, & it would be reversed, so there would be a few red streaks in the bangs but most of the red would be on the underside of my hair

About a month or two ago, I purchased sun-in to make my hair lighter for the summer. I initially used it to add some highlights but my hair got way lighter. Now my roots are growing in & it looks terrible! I don’t want to reapply sun-in or dye my hair darker, are there any home remedies to remove the lighter color & bring my hair back to its natural color?

I must have left the bleach on for to long because my hair was blonde & platinum in some areas. My skin color to be exact. I looked bald!! Since fall is approaching I decided maybe this was a sign I should go to a golden brown. (Now I have heard before if you go from blonde to BLACK you will get GREEN) but I did brown a golden brown semi-perm to be exact yet what I got was a PEA GREEN. So I tried to put the brown on a little bit longer & STILL GREEN again. Then someone told me to mix the brown with a little but of RED, so I did & well yes it is green still. Well the roots are not really green it is mostly the ends. My hair as you can see in my avatar is long past my sholders mid back length. Why did this happen & can it be reversed. One more thing the green looks like a green rinse. If you see me you will not notice unless you are close, I have even gotten “compliments’ on the green “tint”. I don;t want green I want golden brown

If they pay sex change operations to the tune of about $100,000 shouldn’t they also pay for facelifts & liposuctions, beauty treatments, penis & boob enlargements, & hair dye. And shouldn’t they pay to reverse the operation when boredom comes knocking? I can only assume the answer is yes.

I have been taking vitamins for the past year or so to help my hair grow in after a bad episode with hair extensions. I am currently taking a multivitamin, 2500 mcg of biotin, & 2-3 flaxseed oil caplets daily. I have been noticing metallic, brassy colored strands of hair. I did some research on the internet & found that discoloration of hair can be caused by iron.The multivitamin I have been taking has 16 mg of Iron, & I used to take it twice a day. When I first halted my use & continued to take only the biotin & flaxseed oil, I found that my skin was breaking out. I have heard that if Biotin is not taken in conjunction with other vitamins, this can occur. Anyway, I have considered seeking another multivitamin without iron, or dropping all of the vitamins together, except for flaxseed oil. I was wondering if hair discoloration can be reversed. I understand that I can dye this hair, but I do not want to do anymore damage. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I dyed my hair dark brown, which came out almost black. I hated it, so I bleached it so I could dye it a lighter brown. After bleaching, my hair was bright orange. I knew that the light brown dye would not be able to cover this color. Even though I was afraid of damage, I bleached it again, so it’d go blonde. I then dyed my hair light brown.
I was right about double-bleaching being too much for my hair. My hair has dried out considerably. In particular, there are a few patches of hair that are so dry & porous that after I wash my hair, it feels sticky after the rest of my hair is dry, because it is holding so much water. These bits of hair didn’t hold the hair dye at all, & came out blonde.
My hair color is now very uneven, with obvious looking light patches. What can I do? The parts of my hair that are the most damaged are right at the top of my head, & the only way I could cut them out would be to practically shave my head. Is there any way of reversing the damage?

Can anyone help me reverse the purple look back to a golden brown or dark auburn without the purple.

My hair is a really dark brown color. I just want to make it a light brown, but I have no clue how.
I don’t want to use Sun-In or lemon juice because it seems like there’s a big chance of my hair turning red instead of light brown.
Does anyone know of any other ways to lighten hair that don’t include lemon juice, & I would prefer that I didn’t have to use vinegar.
Or are there any kind of shampoos or conditioners that could lighten my hair? I have a few months before I need my hair lighter, so I’m not really in any hurry.
But I need to have a way that will be easy to reverse afterwards because I don’t want my hair light forever. And I absolutely refuse to use any kind of dye or bleach because I just don’t like it. Also my mother would never let me dye my hair.
