Hair Dye Answers

I have naturally light brown hair but I have dyed it dark brown, which was a huge mistake. Two or three weeks after I dye my hair dark brown, it always turns red-brown. Eventually it turns orange. I need suggestions on how to dye my hair back to my natural light brown color without turning it orange. My hair isn’t damaged at all, it’s just the wrong color. May I note that every time I reattempted to dye it back to dark brown, I went to a professional stylist at a salon & the outcome was still the same. In the past month, I have spent nearly $150 to fix it, but my hair now seems beyond repair.
Does anyone know what would happen if I bleached my hair, & then dyed it light brown? To get this done, I would go to a salon. I just don’t want to waste more of my money to have the same thing happen again.
I’m open to anything!

you know like just the box of bleach & whatever…do people try to go to a extreme, like too blond or do people leave it on too long, or maybe not enough>?

I had strawberry blonde hair (108 Nice N Easy Natural Reddish Blonde), but it looked kind of dull, so the Clairol Expert on the phone suggested dying it again. Well, I decided to leave it to the professionals this time, figuring I wanted a very subtle natural change. The colorist made my hair an auburn, very vibrant color, which I DID NOT want. The keyword I told her was natural, which my hair is not right now. Even after washing, it hasn’t faded at all. I called & explained that I wasn’t satisfied, so I’m going tomorrow for a color correction. Other than highlights & dying my hair brown, what can I do to lighten my color? I wanted to use Colorfix or Color Oops, but I don’t think I should pay for their mistake. I want my hair back to the strawberry blonde, but a little more strawberry. What would this entail in a salon (lightening my hair)? Is there anyway to do this without bleaching my entire head? Can I just do a soap cap or toner or color remover & dye again?

I dyed my hair a red. didnt like it so i hid some of it by putting in browns & blondes. still didnt like it so 3 weeks later put more blonde & brown in it & now the red that turned blonde looks orange & there is a lot! what should i do? i want to dye it brown how long should i wait to do that & how can i hide some for now? my hair needs time to repair but how long? (its hideous)

Ok..so I had my naturally dark brown hair bleached & dyed it red which was a total mistake. Ive been reading reviews on Colorfix & people have claimed that it could restore your hair to its natural color or something close to it. I was wondering if Colorfix will work on my hair since my hair was bleached & colorfix only removes permanent hair dye. Will using Colorfix leave my hair with just the bleached color?

about a year ago I made the mistake of dying my hair a lighter shade.
Unfortunately, it didnt come out so well….
So now I’m stuck dying it & dying it repeatedly back to my natural hair color.
Is there a way I can get my natural hair color back, because right now, the color keeps fading, & it is quite annoying to repeatedly dye it myself or spend the money on a salon.

i know you cant see what i look like, im afraid i dont have a picture, but i have quite light brown hair & im thinking of getting it professionally died on saturday. i’d like to go blonde, i just think it would be nice for the summer & i reckon it would suit me. is this a BIG mistake going from brown to blonde? if anyones done this please let me know how it went & whether you were pleased with the results x

My hair is a medium brown color & I wanted to dye it dark brown, so I went to a stylist & she put a “permanent” color in my hair (which faded after 2 washes to a ginger color) so I decided to try to dye it a dark brown at home. Only now it looks like a red/ginger color. Its only a temporary color wash-out but how can I avoid making the same mistake next time? Should I be using a near-black color to make sure it doesn’t have a ginger/red tinge? I have just used a color that was in between medium brown & black.

I bleached my hair & then dyed it purple. But then i went in the pool… bad mistake. It was permanent purple hair dye from hot topic. But know my previoulsy bleached & then purplified hair is turning the same ugle brown its always been!!! why is this… it makeds me so sad… i didnt hink it was possible for bleached hair to turn brown again… i thought if anythign it would turn blonde & i could just dye it again…

my hair is all the down to my hips & its kinda layered but will i be making a huge mistake if i put 1 inch of hot pink…? cuz i dont wanna dye my hair i never did & i never will im 15 by the way

My hair is naturally dark brown. I once made the mistake of dyeing it a lighter brown w/ blonde highlights from the box color, & it came out horrible. Came out really brassy, so i had it re-dyed with highlights in the salon. It was still brassy, so I had it dyed my regular dark color a couple months ago. Now, it is back to being brassy! My hair has a red/orange undertone, & I want to get rid of it! help…

I went to a hairdresser in the CBD today & asked if they had green hair dye & she showed me the different colours of Fudge hair dye they had & she told me they didnt have the green one anymore. And then she told me that it would’ve only lasted 3 or 4 washes in my hair anyway, since I would have to get it bleached before applying it.
Is this true? And does this apply with Manic Panic/Special Effects? And if I’m not mistaken.. Fudge hair dye is just semi-permanent, isn’t it? Is Manic Panic & Special Effects semi-permanent as well? How long does it last?
Also, can someone suggest places in Sydney where I can get my hair done professionally [they have to have green hair dye too].

I was just wondering, I just dyed my hair a dark, dark brown & was doing it myself for the first time. I wanted to get the color on my roots good so they were well-colored but I rubbed it into my scalp too much & now the color of my scalp looks funny compared to my hair. Has anybody done this? Is there a way to fix it or do I just have to wait until the color starts to fade?

I originally have dark brown hair, & I dyed my hair black (worst mistake I’ve ever done to my hair), I want to remove black hair dye. Would Loreal Color Zap work? If it does, would my hair turn back to dark brown, or would it turn into some different color since Color Zap does contain a small amount of bleach?

Is there an natural homemade remedy that will make it go jet black. Mz hair is kinda honey blonde in some places & mousey in others & quite dark brown mostly all over.
OR how can I pretend I mistook hair dye for something else?
I CANT dye it & tell my Mum.

I have a pale face but everywhere else is tan-ish.
DON’T say black i did that twice & in was a terrible mistake.. ( Natural hair color is blonde)
