Hair Dye Answers

I have naturally light brown hair but I have dyed it dark brown, which was a huge mistake. Two or three weeks after I dye my hair dark brown, it always turns red-brown. Eventually it turns orange. I need suggestions on how to dye my hair back to my natural light brown color without turning it orange. My hair isn’t damaged at all, it’s just the wrong color. May I note that every time I reattempted to dye it back to dark brown, I went to a professional stylist at a salon & the outcome was still the same. In the past month, I have spent nearly $150 to fix it, but my hair now seems beyond repair.
Does anyone know what would happen if I bleached my hair, & then dyed it light brown? To get this done, I would go to a salon. I just don’t want to waste more of my money to have the same thing happen again.
I’m open to anything!

I am a 15 year old boy & everyone keeps telling me i look better with the lighter colored hair i had when i was younger. I don’t want to dye it, but just lighten it to a blonde color. My hair is a dirty blonde color. A little darker than that tho. I just finished putting peroxide in it. I walked outside to get the sun to hit it but nothing really happened. Please help!

i wanna use the red one but i dont want to use the bleach cuz i dont want it to be red red. i was wondering if anyone has used it without bleach & if you have photos too would be cool. i have brownish red hair, the red tint is from dying it before with other crap. & same for the blue, if you did it without bleach. i dont want such an intense color but i still want it to show.

I know that all lightening hair dyes contain a certain amount of bleach but what I mean is I want a hair dye classed as blonde that isn’t hard bleach.
I last used the lightest shade by Clairol’s nice ‘n’ easy but it still seems just a mid blonde…

My hair is a blondish red more blonde then red & i wanted to go with a darker color to highlight my skin tone & I waent & got semi permanant hair dye in roasted almond & decided it looked good & I want to die it permanant but I want the color to stay in longer without fading.

I have naturally dark blonde hair which I have never dyed. I want to dye it medium blonde at home with a boxed hair dye. If I choose a hair color that is lighter than my hair will it actually lighten it or just not show up? I’ve heard that box dyes just deposit color. Will it do anything if my hair is darker?

My hair is already a dark brown but it’s lighter at the bottom because I had bleached it before. I want to dye it black & I already bought the hair color but I dont know if I should get soft black instead. I dont want it to look bad or fake or “burnt”. Please & thank you All advice is welcome.

I could also use some help finding out a way that isnt permanent but that will actually stay in. BTW I have dirty blonde hair but u could kinda of say that its brown

My hair color is brown & I want to dye it like dark blonde color. I don’t want to use bleach since it damages & drys your hair badly. So is there any ways to dye my hair (with it showing well) without using a bleach? And i dont want to use a rinse.

my natural hair color is brownish black but i want to dye it dark purple that almost looks black but i dont want it permanent n that does not stain (if possible) i dont want to go to the salon cuz of the cost so maybe like manic panic or something… does it work for non bleached hair?

Ok, so I’m not getting the answer I want…apparently I have to strip my dyed black hair in order to dye it bright red…So does anyone know how I can get this black out of my hair(at least somewhat) so that I can dye over it. I don’t want to use a bleaching or stripping kit.

my hair is already a blonde. but it isnt light enough. its not what i want. my hairdresser has been dying it for me. i have been asking for a platinum blonde but she keeps giving me a dirty blonde. i’m thinking maybe she is afraid of burning my head?
