Hair Dye Answers

I’ve heard that shampoos & conditioners for brown dyed hair for example have a little bit of the dye in em to preserve the color. Is this true?

How do I reverse this?????? =[
my hair is very light blonde & when i re-dye my roots i but a little purple toner shampoo on my roots to get any brassy tones out. well this time i put it all over my hair, not thinking, & since the rest of my hair is already light blonde with no brassy tones the shampoo made it a gray color & slightly purple! =( ! How do i fix this,, PLEASE help!

So I’ve been using Pantene shampoo & conditioner (beautiful lengths & smooth) for about 6 months now. At first my hair so so shiny, smooth & healthy, but I have noticed that over time time of me using it my hair has been getting really dry & I actually have more fly-aways than I did before I started using it… And this week I noticed that a considerable amount of my hair is falling out ): Today when I washed my hair every time I would rinse my hand was full of stray hairs & when I brushed my hair as well.
I don’t do anything to my hair. I do not use heat on it or dye it, so my hair is not falling out because I am being rough on it & as for stress.. Well I’m actually pretty stress free lately, so that’s outta the picture.
I started using Pantene because I wanted to keep my hair healthy, but it just made my hair worse over time.
I need a good shampoo to switch to, something affordable that works. Preferably organic.

But at low price?
I’ve dyed my hair a lot lately(mistake) but I want healthy, silky hair.

i have normal hair. its a bit wavy, sometimes when its humid gets a bit of a curl. its not too coarse or thin. just kind of normal. i wash my hair every two or three days. right now im using neutrogena clarifying shampoo & some light conditioner. i dont blow dry , dye, straighten, or put products in my hair. i just wash & go. is it ok to use this shampoo every two days or so even if it says once weekly? any one else know of any nice normal ‘no fluff’ shampoos ( by no fluff i mean nothing that claims to do any thing spectacular or made with organic ingredients or costs an arm & a leg) & conditioners for just normal use?

You know, organic no artificial colors dyes or scents?
Its not very good. I used some today & my hair feels ugly & it is not shiny It doesn’t even have a good smell to it!

I’m a guy who colors my hair to cover up the grey. I’m going to use permanent dye next time I color. I am looking for a shampoo that has good cleaning power as my scalp tends to get oily but one that hopefully won’t strip the color as soon as I use it. I love American Crew shampoo but that takes out the color of temporary dye. I also use Modern Organic Productions Blue shampoo which is a great cleaner but also strips the color out.
Any suggestions of brands to check out (either commercial or salon) would be great. Thank you!

not really. the semi dyes are a wash out thing but usually in 10-12 washes. but depending on the color u did some pigment might stay.
