Hair Dye Answers

over summer i want to expiriment with my hair…. (my school has a dress code) so i want to dye my hair with lime green streaks or something…. but i already dye my hair black… & i cant bleach my hair… so i was just wondering.. does the neon colored hair dye, dye over already dyed black hair??

I have light brown hair & i want to dye it either pink or blue.How well does it show up?and will all the color wash out?

I dyed my hair two months ago light brown , my natural hair color is dark brown now the difference is greater then i expected now that the roots are coming in . Could i redye my hair dark brown so i wouldnt have to go through the root process with a colour that looks very different from my own & not end up with a mixture of both dyes & give my hair a yucky colour?

what would it do would it work my hair is black the bleach would make it blonde & i would dye it brown.

Hi there. For years i have had blonde hair, but making an aweful mistake of using a lighter shade than normal, i had a hair disaster & had to dye it red to cover it up. However when i say red, you can still clearly tell it was blonde before, & has faded to a sort of pinkish shade. It’s actually lighter than my natural colour (mousey.) So i’m thinking it would be safe to dye it blonde again? If i did it twice would & used a toner would the orangey bits be gone? Please don’t tell me to go to a salon, i have about £20 to my name lol! I used Jerome Russell’s Punky Colour on my hair. It came out an awesome purple on my dark hair (i bleached it of course). It’s extremely difficult to not wash my hair everyday, its super long & I use things on it. I also use this Tresemme shampoo that is for dyed hair. Its been 2 days since I dyed it.
Will it matter any if I just use conditioner on my hair without shampoo?
Can I use conditioner on my hair or will it just mess up the color?
I use a leave in conditioner & an anti frizz serum also, can I continue to use those?

How do I reverse this?????? =[
my hair is very light blonde & when i re-dye my roots i but a little purple toner shampoo on my roots to get any brassy tones out. well this time i put it all over my hair, not thinking, & since the rest of my hair is already light blonde with no brassy tones the shampoo made it a gray color & slightly purple! =( ! How do i fix this,, PLEASE help!

okay so i got my hair dyed dark brown 2 weeks ago. It had lots of blond highlights in it & it has faded some. my hair lady used semi-permanent. like the color is definitelyyyy still there. its just my highlights are showing some now & it isn’t as dark brown as when i first had it dyed.
so, i have never dyed my hair myself before. i have always gotten my hair lady to do it. I want to get my hair dyed again but my mom wont let me since i go to a pricey salon it would cost like 75…
so i want to go to walgreens tomorrow & buy a box of dark brown dye. im veryyyyyyyy scared it wont come out the way i want it to or will ruin my hair or not work very well. pretty much anything that could go bad im veryy very scared of.
so my question is, would it be a mistake to do it myself? should i wait?
i would loveee if someone gave me a good answer w/ lots of detail =]

I have bleach blonde hair & wanna try being a brunette. I don’t want it dark, just a chesnut brown or maybe honey brown. What’s a good brand of dye that has no ammonia or peroxide?

Ok, so I’m not getting the answer I want…apparently I have to strip my dyed black hair in order to dye it bright red…So does anyone know how I can get this black out of my hair(at least somewhat) so that I can dye over it. I don’t want to use a bleaching or stripping kit.

Like should I put my hair up or down when it has dye in it? What is something that you will never do to your hair again? etc…

Ok, So I died my hair black for Halloween, (HUMUNGUS MISTAKE), & well now I want to get it back to the way it was. Naturally my hair is medium brown though I have always dyed it a red color, not fakey red, but the closest thing to a natural red. Well I want to get it back to that but Im low on the cash so that rules out a hair dresser. Also Ive been wanting to find a really good natural red hair dye color…if anyone can help me out with that too that would be great! o_0 Ive dyed it before like this but Im trying to find a heathier way. Also I need to find a really good reguvinating shampoo & conditioner, any tips would be much appreciated!

I had bleach blonde hair, But I decided to get some blue tips done…. Well, the professional messed it up pretty bad & it looks horrible, in my opnion & my moms.
I’ve been doing my hair for over 7 years with dyes & messing around with it soo I’m aware of the risks & stuff.
We’ve soo far got it from that neon-ish blue to a light green now, but I want to remove the green. Any suggestions on what I should? I do not want to cut it all off..My friend had the similar problem she she dyed her hair blonde but she end up dying it a burgand colro & it covered up all the blue… But that’s my last thign i would do because I love my blonde hair. It was a mistake I made… but i’m hoping theres a way to fix it..So far, we used this product called opps… & it removed some blue. Then we tried bleaching it wich made it a light green. Now were putting in some other type of bleach in hopes of lightening it more…thank you.

ok last weekend i thought it would be different to dye my hair pink & bleach blonde big mistake they bled into each other & look wrong now & my fella is threatening to cut it out if i dont sort it out, im a bit too embarised to go back to the salon so the other option is to dye it but i dont want it to go orange or fall out any help would be wonderfull :O(

Back in October 06 i dyed my light brown hair BLACK by mistake. Then when it lightened i tried to re-dye it in January a medium brown but it went back to black except for an inch of roots on top! I managed to lighten it up so it was kind of ok. In March i went & had my hair bleached at a salon & then they dyed over it a light brown shade. Unfortunitly when i dye my hair it fades to reddish tints. Now my hair is reddish brown & the roots have grown out since then obvisouly & its a MUCH lighter brown. My fiance is at bootcamp & im trying to grow my hair out a bit more for our wedding in September… is there ANY way i can just dye over my hair & have it be all the same color. I dont mind that it fades to red so much but right now i just have a bunch of differant colors & it looks kinda weird lol. Any advice would be great! Id like to avoid bleaching if i can!! THANKYOU!!

Some time ago, I dyed my hair pink, & since I have brown hair, it was bleached first. Now, all the pink is gone, & I can get green as long as I find out if it will damage my hair.
I want to put the green over the old bleach, since putting in more bleach will burn my hair.
So, is putting the new color over it damaging?

My mum has jut dyed my hair 5 mins ago. I am literally sitting here with the dye on my head..anyway she managed to get it all over my ears & forehead..and its dried. Does anyone have any tips on how to remove it?
