When I was a teenager, I bleached my short puffy hair (which turned yellow, I was reminiscent of Beavis in every way), then put blue Manic Panic in it. As you might have already guessed, yellow plus blue makes green. Very ugly green, I might add. But where the bleach had actually lightened to white (areas on the scalp lighten better because of body heat), the blue turned up in all its glory. My mom, who always said if I wanted to experiment with crazy fashion, I would have to live with the consequences (no exceptions), sent me to school the next day. So all day, I was teased mercilessly for my “snot green” hair with bright blue part & sideburns. Somehow, I lived through it, & now I think back & laugh. Thanks for the memories.

For some reason I thought dying your hair during pregnancy was okay. My old hair dresser told me this. Anyway I dyed my hair & then didn’t like the color, so I went back & had it done again. The color that was used was all organic. Do you think my baby will be okay?

Some time ago, I dyed my hair pink, & since I have brown hair, it was bleached first. Now, all the pink is gone, & I can get green as long as I find out if it will damage my hair.
I want to put the green over the old bleach, since putting in more bleach will burn my hair.
So, is putting the new color over it damaging?

I want to either dye the end tips of my hair or have highlights underneath I need pictures please !

Lets says some one gets turned invisible, the typical method where their clothes & such remain visible. What happens if there hair is dyed, or if they have a spray on tan at the time? Would these things remain visible since they are merely on top of & not a part of a bodies organic matter?

Considering using a natural/organic/vegetable hair dye. I’m allergic to PPD – which is in most permenant hair colors.
What will happen if i use a semi-permenant light brown? when it fades will i be blonde again?
I can’t keep dying my hair blonde to cover my roots because of my allergy, so i want to go back to my natural color.
Also- any reccomendations or cautions against using a natural/organic/vegetable hair color?

Can anyone help me reverse the purple look back to a golden brown or dark auburn without the purple.

My mother, who is naturally a medium brunette, decided it would be fun to dye her hair a color called Black Cherry. Let’s just say the results are pretty bad, it’s jet black with random red tints in it. Yes it was a dumb choice but that’s beside the point, too late for that. We tried dying it, using a light ash blonde color, but yet it still remains the same. What can she do to reverse the horrid mess she’s mad of her hair, short of shaving it off a la Britney Spears?

The reason I’m asking is because my Mom has a perm & recently dyed her hair using Dark & Lovely & it turned her hair GREEN. I don’t want to make the same mistake.

Someone told me that if i just put a brown permanent dye in would damage my hair

I dyed my hair back in september, I my natural hair color is platinum blonde, & I dyed it dark red. its faded now to a dirty blonde, but my hair isn’t nearly as soft as it used to be.
my hair used to be shiny & pin straight & soft as baby hair.
now its damaged & not as soft.
How do I get it to be perfectly straight & soft again?!?! PLEASE help

Can I bleach my hair overtop of already dyed hair (I did it 2 months ago dark brown) & then after the bleaching, dye it a more realistic, natural blond? I have bleached my hair before, I just don’t know how it would turn out overtop of already dyed hair? And then if the blonde overtop would change anything?

I recently dyed my naturally brown hair to auburn with dark red highlights. However, after a day in the sun, the highlights at the top of my head have become noticeably lighter. Is there a way to reverse this & make my hair darker (more browny, less red)? And if not, how long will I have to wait until I can re-dye my hair to a natural colour such as black or brown?

I like my natural hair color & am afraid that dying my hair will mean that I can’t get my natural color back until all my hair grows back. Is this true? Is there hair dye that fades after a while or something? I’m interested in tips.

About 3 months ago I dyed my hair dark brown to cover up my outgrown hilights (my natural color is brown). I used Clairol Natural Insticts in a temporary dye. Thing is, it’s lightened up a little bit but it’s still totally dark after 3 months. Would I be able to get my hair dyed blonde now?

It kind of looks red because of the light, but trust me, it’s purple. :-O I heard something about baking soda & making a shampoo out of it? Someone please help!
