Hair Dye Answers

I have naturally light brown hair but I have dyed it dark brown, which was a huge mistake. Two or three weeks after I dye my hair dark brown, it always turns red-brown. Eventually it turns orange. I need suggestions on how to dye my hair back to my natural light brown color without turning it orange. My hair isn’t damaged at all, it’s just the wrong color. May I note that every time I reattempted to dye it back to dark brown, I went to a professional stylist at a salon & the outcome was still the same. In the past month, I have spent nearly $150 to fix it, but my hair now seems beyond repair.
Does anyone know what would happen if I bleached my hair, & then dyed it light brown? To get this done, I would go to a salon. I just don’t want to waste more of my money to have the same thing happen again.
I’m open to anything!

I have natural red hair & would like to add a diferent colored extension to give it the dyed tips look.would this work? if so, what color should i used? i was thinking lighter red, blonde or black.

I dyed my hair last week & I used Loreal Paris hair dye. I bought the brand name color saving shampoo & I am using the conditioner it comes with once a week as the package directs. Is there any things I should or shouldnt do to keep my hair color intact?

I had light brown dyed hair & then I decided to color it dark brown. Unfortunately, I didnt know that it will turn into black. I am trying to fade it now, but I am wondering if the color will fade to the light dyed hair that I previously had or back to my original hair color? (which is dark brown) Thanks alot!

I’m trying to let it grow out, so now I have several inches of my blonde but I can’t wait for it to grow out, I need help figuring out how to go back without ruining my hair.
I have long, healthy hair. Its not dry or brittle at all, but it is very dark (from the hair dye).
I’m okay with having it cut to just above my shoulders if needed, but I would prefer to keep the length.
Can you please give me the steps (and products!) that I need to do to fix this? I know it won’t be my natural color, but thats okay as long as its blonde & not near black anymore.
Oh, & I need to do it myself, I’m in college & cannot afford a salon. I do have someone to help me though so I don’t miss any spots.

I want to dye it dark dark red,If I just put the dye over the soft black would it catch on even a little bit?

It’s been 2 weeks since I got my hair dyed at the salon. (reddish-brown). In a couple weeks I want to dye my hair dark brown. Will my color mix with the redbrown & turn out a different color? What do you think? I’m going to dye my hair with store-bought dye this time.

I have dyed my hair bleach blonde for 10+ years & I want to change my color to dark auburn with out completely ruining it. I would like to know any advice anyone has on the proper steps to take to get the color I want & not some horrible shade of pink.

I’m waiting for the purple to fade to the point where I looks bad, & then I plan on dying it a permanent color close to my original brown. I plan on using a VO5 hot oil treatment, before & after, to help add moister. I also use main ‘n tail shampoo & conditioner. The only problem is, I’m taking SCUBA diving as a high school gym class…which means we’ll be in a chlorinated pool. Any ideas?

They were born brunette, so why would they want to identify with blondes when they are not?

I recently put a black dye in my hair (BIG mistake…dont reccomend it!) if i put a light brown in…will i have light brown or really dark broen hair?

I have dyed my hair a lot recently. I did the half on the bottom red. Since I have brown hair I had to bleach it then dye it red – mistake. The red washed out quickly now I am left with ugly bleached hair & nothing will stick to it! Not even my brown dye. What do i do? I really just want my natural hair back!

i’ve dyed my hair permanant blue black 5 times since may 2007, & havent used blue black since august. a few days ago i tried using soft black to lighten it up a little bit, but only my roots lightened not the rest of my hair. so now its still black. i have been using a clarifying shampoo to try & fade the color a little but it doesnt seem to be working. i would like to dye it chocolate brown. today i bought a feria bleaching kit, & i was going to bleach it & then dye it brown. will it work? how will the brown dye take? is this safe to do to my hair?
