Hair Dye Answers

The salons aren’t covering all of my roots. I have said something over & over. I went to a different salon & I had the same problem. I was born a toe head, but after the years it became a medium to dark blonde. My hair has natural golden highlights so I need something that won’t give me the brassy tones. Thank you!

I bleached my hair & the lady at Sallys gave me a purple toner which left purple in my hair. Then I went back & she said it would all come out if I used a different toner. This turned my hair brown.
I am a blonde at heart so this makes me sad. Can I wait a couple weeks then bleach my hair & then dye it a blonde color instead of using a toner?

Okay, So I Put Peroxide Blonde in My Hair, And It Showed Up Reddish In Some Parts And Dirty Blonde in Others. My Hair Is Sort Of dark, And I Want To Know How To Get My hair To Accept The Dye Properly. Any Tips?

i know you cant see what i look like, im afraid i dont have a picture, but i have quite light brown hair & im thinking of getting it professionally died on saturday. i’d like to go blonde, i just think it would be nice for the summer & i reckon it would suit me. is this a BIG mistake going from brown to blonde? if anyones done this please let me know how it went & whether you were pleased with the results x

i am white & want to dye two peices of hair blonde…or at least lighter than BLACK…which is my natural hair color..i have dyed my hair multiple times…always came out GREAT!!! except ONE time..LOL…i dyed my whole head (stupidly blonde with bleach which was DUMB because a couple friends & i ran away from home when i was 12 & i was the only one with BLACK hair so we decided to STEAL bleach!!!!and we poured it over my WHOLE head) (omg STINGS LIKE HELL!! LMFAO) (turned green because my hair is SO black!) LOL!!! idiot!!! anywhoo..i am now 21 & have always had red tips NOT PROFESSIONALLY …but now i have let my hair grow naturally & i am completely black with TONS of gray hairs (which i dont really care about) i just want blonde tips on the two peices of hair that FRAME my face…i CAN’T dye them with perfessional sh*t because i am so freaking poor…can i do it with peroxide?!?! please help!!! PLEASE!!

I know that all lightening hair dyes contain a certain amount of bleach but what I mean is I want a hair dye classed as blonde that isn’t hard bleach.
I last used the lightest shade by Clairol’s nice ‘n’ easy but it still seems just a mid blonde…

Hello guys, i used to be fine dying my hair but after having several tattoos i am now sensitive to hair dye (in that my head swells up if i put it on). Is it possible to bleach hair without using dye, just bleach/peroxide?? for that Lady gaga/sarah harding look? or would i need to put dye on as well?

I have naturally dark blonde hair which I have never dyed. I want to dye it medium blonde at home with a boxed hair dye. If I choose a hair color that is lighter than my hair will it actually lighten it or just not show up? I’ve heard that box dyes just deposit color. Will it do anything if my hair is darker?

bleach or dye?

Hi there. For years i have had blonde hair, but making an aweful mistake of using a lighter shade than normal, i had a hair disaster & had to dye it red to cover it up. However when i say red, you can still clearly tell it was blonde before, & has faded to a sort of pinkish shade. It’s actually lighter than my natural colour (mousey.) So i’m thinking it would be safe to dye it blonde again? If i did it twice would & used a toner would the orangey bits be gone? Please don’t tell me to go to a salon, i have about £20 to my name lol! I have naturally blonde hair but I dyed it nearly black but I want to go back!
I’m trying to let it grow out, so now I have several inches of my blonde but I can’t wait for it to grow out, I need help figuring out how to go back without ruining my hair.
I have long, healthy hair. Its not dry or brittle at all, but it is very dark (from the hair dye).
I’m okay with having it cut to just above my shoulders if needed, but I would prefer to keep the length.
Can you please give me the steps (and products!) that I need to do to fix this? I know it won’t be my natural color, but thats okay as long as its blonde & not near black anymore.
Oh, & I need to do it myself, I’m in college & cannot afford a salon. I do have someone to help me though so I don’t miss any spots.

What do you think? My hair is just like in my avatar picture now. I am a guy, & I’m going for more of a scene look. Any hints, pointers, tips? I’m considering doing it myself but I’m probably going to get it done professionally. I’ve been told the tips might come out a little orange, & I don’t want that at all, so how can I prevent this?

Like i know you can use peroxide but can you use bleach[the stuff for clothes] to dye your hair blond?

i have black, like dark dark brown hair. i bought bleach & purple hair dye, color fiend, from hot topic. it’s Temporary so yeah.
i was wondering, if i bleach my hair then dye it & the dye fades out, will my hair be blonde? aka the bleach color?
