Hair Dye Answers

about a year ago I made the mistake of dying my hair a lighter shade.
Unfortunately, it didnt come out so well….
So now I’m stuck dying it & dying it repeatedly back to my natural hair color.
Is there a way I can get my natural hair color back, because right now, the color keeps fading, & it is quite annoying to repeatedly dye it myself or spend the money on a salon.

I bleached my hair & then dyed it purple. But then i went in the pool… bad mistake. It was permanent purple hair dye from hot topic. But know my previoulsy bleached & then purplified hair is turning the same ugle brown its always been!!! why is this… it makeds me so sad… i didnt hink it was possible for bleached hair to turn brown again… i thought if anythign it would turn blonde & i could just dye it again…

At the beginning of the summer i put hot pink highlights in my hair to go along with my scene look. the highlights faded & are now a light pink almost coral color. i really want to get my original hair color back which is a medium/dark brown. what should i do? what color(s) should i dye the remaining highlights?

I have naturally blonde hair but I dyed it nearly black but I want to go back!
I’m trying to let it grow out, so now I have several inches of my blonde but I can’t wait for it to grow out, I need help figuring out how to go back without ruining my hair.
I have long, healthy hair. Its not dry or brittle at all, but it is very dark (from the hair dye).
I’m okay with having it cut to just above my shoulders if needed, but I would prefer to keep the length.
Can you please give me the steps (and products!) that I need to do to fix this? I know it won’t be my natural color, but thats okay as long as its blonde & not near black anymore.
Oh, & I need to do it myself, I’m in college & cannot afford a salon. I do have someone to help me though so I don’t miss any spots.

i tried to go from medium brown to soft medium auburn. big mistake – blotchy light ginger roots, no difference on the rest of my hair.
i don’t want to do anything to it right now, after all, colour grows out. But when can i dye it back to my lovely brunette?? I know that red colour fades, but i heard that auburn goes brassy after a while…
So when can i dye my hair again? I’ll go darker than the shade of my roots, close to my natural colour. But i’m gonna have to use box dye again (dont have the $$ to go to a salon & we have no beauty supply stores where i live…)…

i dyed my hair black by mistake & i dont know how to get it back to to light brown??

i made a mistake by dying my hair darkred last month. so i wanted to go back to blonde. i bought maxi blond the box said it would even dye black hair blonde. well however my hair came out bright orange!!! so right after i washed it out i put on another pack from another company & now it is a little better but well its just yellow now intead of orange. this was three days ago what happens if i put on another pack of blonde hair dye now? any success? i know its not good for my hair but what else can i do? it looks horrible

My hair hasn’t been blonde in over 4 years. Blonde is my natural color. A light blonde with natural light brown highlights. I don’t know if it would still look good on me… idk why it just seems like it would look weird. Everyone in my family has light hair & dark eyebrows. And my eyebrows used to be light, but after 6th grade they started going dark. So I dyed my hair black. Big mistake.
And I’m used to doing dark colors. I’m at dark brown now.
Oh & I had red hair for a couple of months; from september to about feb. And the red isnt gone. I’ve stripped it twice & dyed it dark brown colors twice. But the second dark brown color had ash in it. And it still didn’t work.
I’m a little confused on that too. I don’t want red to come through if I dye my hair blonde.

yeah, i look bad. I was sick haha. & that was from like a month ago. my hair has more red in it now. its like orange in the sun -_-
Oh & I’m totally down for dying my eyebrows & filling them in with light brown pencil.
Yeahh, I’ll do anything to go back to my old roots: ))
I DON’T want to stay dark. Staying dark isn’t an option for me.

I have medium to dark brown hair & I had a half head of blonde highlights done about a month ago. I really dont like it & now the roots are back I hate it. Can I go back to my natural colour or will it damage my hair. I really want to go back Brown again, I know I made a big mistake!

I made the dumb mistake of using hydrogen peroxide in my hair. It is now a very unlovely orangish-dark blonde color. My natural hair color is light brown. It has grown out & is not too noticable, but I cant stand the fake look of my hair.
would dying back to my natural color be easiest?

Considering using a natural/organic/vegetable hair dye. I’m allergic to PPD – which is in most permenant hair colors.
What will happen if i use a semi-permenant light brown? when it fades will i be blonde again?
I can’t keep dying my hair blonde to cover my roots because of my allergy, so i want to go back to my natural color.
Also- any reccomendations or cautions against using a natural/organic/vegetable hair color?

I recently dyed my dark blonde hair a very dark brown & I was wondering, besides growing it out, if there are any ways of reversing the colouring process. And will it affect the condition of my hair?

Let’s say you dye it, & a few weeks later, you don’t like it any more. Is there a way to reverse it? I have no idea how the dyeing process works, so no smart comments please.
