Title Of Ya Book For Girls. From The 80s.?
2 best friend girls share everything. They go out & wear semi-matching outfits: same colors, but in reverse. They begin to date the same boy, taking turns with him. Until he chooses one. Book told from POV of the girl he doesn’t choose. Friendship ruined. She struggles with this until he breaks up with her best friend. I remember at the end of the book the girl who got the boy dyes her hair when he break up with her.
