Dye My Hair Black?
So this is about what colour my hair is:

And my skin I guess kinda looks like I always have a light tan (because my mothers philipino but my dads white.)
Everybody mistakes my hair for black, & I’ve always like black hair. So I want to dye it that colour! The problem is… how I’m going to convince my parents to let me get it dyed. Their so edgy on everything…
I have’nt really metioned or even hinted about it, I want to ask them the right way. But I dunno what the right way is!

well, if its already almost black it might be easier to convince them :
find a picture of someone with really pretty black hair, show it to ur mom & be all “hmmm would i look good with black hair”
just give them some hint or something

Isnt that black hair. Why die if it already pretty much is black just say its black.

Once you go black, you almost never go back. It’s really, really, hard to get black dye out. I’m speaking from experience. It took me six months to get rid of mine…and that’s with a bunch of bad mess ups, a trip to the salon, & TONS of damage that took just as long to repair itself. And that was when I dyed my hair with semi permanent dye. That kind when you dye it black, leaves a black “ring” around your head, as it fades & washes out.
I don’t think you should dye your hair. You have a beautiful colour, that is rare. I’ve only seen it once before this, & that was in a Seventeen magazine. It looks amazing when it is straight, long, & shiny. I love it. I think that might be my current natural colour, as it is always darkening these days…who knows.=P But anyway, your hair is beautiful. Please don’t dye.

Ask them if you can have it temporarily dyed by a professional
