I Want To Bleach My Hair Then Dye It Blue-black, So How Soon After Bleaching Can I Dye It?
I dyed my hair black back in December of 2007, & I want to dye it blue-black with Raw Demi-permanent dye from Hot Topic. I know if I dye my hair blue-black with it already being black I won’t be able to see the blue in it. I really don’t want to be a blonde for a long period of time. So how long should I wait between bleaching & then dying it again?

You’ll be able to see the blue in the black.
It’s not really a BRIGHT blue, you can only really see it in the light when it shines, it’s more of an under tone. I don’t believe the bleaching is needed.
But, you’d probably need to wait a few weeks with some intense conditioning if you want to dye it sooner.

If your hair looks & feels in good condition after bleaching you can dye it using vegetable dyes the same day if you want. If your hair feels damaged or brittle you may want to use an intensive or hot oil conditioner on the hair first & you should never use vegetable dyes on condition hair as this acts as a barrier & stops the dye from sticking. Vegetable dyes dont contain harmful chemicals & actually condition your hair unlike most permanent dyes so they are safe to use as soon as you wish after bleaching.

Demi permanent dye isn’t very damaging to your hair due to the fact that it will wash out little by little every time you take a shower. It’s just pigments being thrown on & it more or less will probably be more conditioning than a permanent dye. If it doesn’t need developer & all you do it apply it out of the tub or tube it’s in than it should be fine to put it right on but make sure you condition the hell out of your hair after you bleach it or else it will feel like straw. If you want to play it on the safe side & of course you definitely want the best quality of blue-black rather than it looking half assed & not lasting for very long I would bleach it & then wait for the next time you want to take a shower to let your hair get good & dirty, it’s better to dye your hair when it’s not clean in case you didn’t know. So if you really despise blonde hair that much it should be fine to just put it right in after you dry it very well, can’t put it on wet hair. but if you want it to last longer I’d wait till the next shower so you can give your hair a day or so to breath per say. hope that helped=]
