I Wanna Bleach My Hair Then Dye It Purple, How Much Will That Cost And Will My Hair Fall Out?
Question says it all. I have black hair. First time bleaching, yes I will do it at a professional. I just wanna know the price of it all when I bleach & dye. Also will my hair drop out?
Each procedure costs. Call your local shop, give them all your info. That is the only way to find this out. I don’t think your hair will fall out. Just my unprofessional opinion!
It depends. Is your hair dyed black? If so then the bleaching pocess is going to be harder way harder because black is very difficult to take out of hair. Your hair will not fall out, but if you’re planning on bleaching your whole head then you might experience a little hair loss, usually it’s after a couple times of bleaching though.
Your hair will be verry dry & your ends will be a little burnt so i suggest you have a trim right after you dye it then use deep moisturizing shampoo’s & hair masks to help your hair get healthier & stop the ends from breaking off x
Hi, if your plan is to eventually dye your hair purple then it is not really necessary to go to a professional for the first bleaching stage. This would be quite a costly procedure (from anywhere between £30/$40 to £200) & you would only really do this if you wanted a natural looking lighter color, but as you are dyeing over it doesn’t really matter how natural the bleach looks! You could buy a home bleach kit for around £5/$8 & then a purple dye for another £5/$8. As long as you read the instructions on each packet (and follow them) & check that the two dyes you have purchased are compatible with each other (i.e they will not react & turn your hair green & the purple dye specifies that it is suitable for use on bleached hair) then you should not have any problems with hair damage/loss. Unfortunately as you have natural black hair bleaching is really your only option to lighten your hair for the purple dye to show up on your hair, but remember you won’t be a blonde you will be a purple lady! And when your hair grows back it will be your natural color at the roots not the bleach underneath. In terms of time, you will only have to wait until your hair has dried from washing out the bleach before adding the purple dye, however, if you were willing to wait a few days for your hair to become greasy then this would protect your hair a little from the potential damaging/drying effects that dyes can have. Most hair dyes recommend being carried out on unwashed hair.
As somebody who has frequently bleached my own hair & had it purple myself! I can vouch that there should be very very minimal damage to your hair, if you follow the instructions.
Hope this helps & good luck!
